New Haven, CT – Toad’s Place

Last night at Toad’s Place was so fun.  It’s one of America’s historic mid-sized clubs, one of those clubs that can have a wall of fame that actually has names you recognize and regularly listen to on it. We pulled out every once of energy we had tonight in honor of the mojo-filled stage. Besides, just imagining one of the smudges on stage being a drop of Keith Richards’ sweat was plenty of inspiration. We had a bunch of Tucker’s friends there tonight, it’s always good to see them. They bring so much energy to the show because they know Tucker so well, and he feeds off of them. They really do put a bigger smile on his face.

Toad’s stage is a large, wide stage with plenty of room to run side to side, but not much room front to back. It makes a for an interesting look for us. We’ve always had trouble getting our drummer Taylor’s face in view, but this stage let us set up in a way that you could see all of our pretty faces. It was tight front to back, but it was a fun having all that room side to side.

‘I definitely knocked over a mic or two last night, haha. But that was a blast’ – Jon

We played very well last night, which feels good knowing all of Tucker’s friends were there.  Dave and I (Jon, bass) ran around the entire time, Blake (guitar) melted faces all night and Taylor (drums) was a little fireball as usual.  That was by far our best show we’ve had so far.

‘It was a huge stage, we really had the chance to move around a lot and it was a blast to run out into the audience.  Also a bunch of us were able to go downstairs and check out the hot tub in the green room!  The energy was great and it was a pleasure to see so many friends and familiar faces groovin’ to the tunes.’ – Tucker

This tour has been going really good so far, and last night was awesome.  But today we’re off the Manhiem, PA to play at a LaserDome.  Yes.  Laser tag LaserDome. I’m so excited to play laser tag all night after we play. So if your in PA today, swing by.

Boston, Hartford, and Fainting

Yesterday we went up to Boston to play a show at the Middle East. It was nice to be back in Boston and hang with some friends (and catch up on all the tivo in the apartment).  Middle East is a great venue, with some of the best sound we’ve had so far (Thanks DJ)!  Also, thanks to Yui, Chris, and everyone else at The School of Rock and School of Groove for setting the whole thing up. It’s always nice to see parents supporting their kids and helping them reach their goals, especially with music.

Austin (our beloved Roadie) has been doing a lot of driving for us of late and I think this morning it finally caught up with him.  Just after waking up he was walking to the restroom one second and passed out on the floor the next.  He’s fine, but he gave us a bit of a scare (phew).  So, if you meet Austin along the road make sure you ask him to faint for you, he seems to have it down to an art form.

Also worthy of note was our show this past Saturday in Hartford.  Our good friend and old band-mate Seth Glennie-Smith came into town and played a show with us while Jon was rocking out with VGO up in Boston.  It’s always fun to play a show with Seth especially when there’s a bachelor party going on upstairs and lots of beer to drink. Thanks again to Scott the Box for doing our sound and setting us up for future endeavors.

We can’t wait to hit the road and head out to Chicago, LA, Vegas, and Texas of course.  We have some cool stuff in the works including at the end of August a show at THE HOUSE OF BLUES in Houston! Our new Website is almost up and running plus we have a few more local shows this week @ Daniel Street in Milford on Thursday and @ Toad’s Place in New Haven on Friday.  So if you’re around and have been following the band, or just starting to, please come have some fun with us!

Waking Up

8 year old Rockstar

Hi I’m Tucker Jameson, I’ve been absent for a while now trying to figure shit out.

10 years ago I saw the Rolling Stones play at Madison Square Garden. My glasses were thick my fro was in rare form and I’m pretty sure I was sporting a polo shirt. The chick behind me was spilling beer all over my back and there was an unusual smell in the air. There were flames, there was confetti, and there were topless cartoon chicks on tongues. Keith was smoking who knows what on stage, Mick was twisting and jumping, and I was eleven years old and loving it all. I wanted to be a rockstar.

At 8 years old I had no fear, I’d dance and sing and put on shows in my living room; rocking a fake guitar, sunglasses and a leather jacket.

Today that kid has resurfaced, I will be that rockstar and I will have no fear.

I am here to entertain you, and believe me, I will…
